Student Placement Spotlight: Rory Adam

Rory and Evolve's Head of Commercial Development, Brayden Sutherland

S5 pupil Rory Adam from Robert Gordon’s College has recently completed a week-long placement within our team, including gaining first-hand experience of day-to-day service desk operations.

During his time with Evolve, Rory learned about how the help desk functions and was also given a practical introduction to computer software, including the opportunity to install Microsoft.

Alongside his IT placement, Rory had the opportunity to attend a business lunch hosted at Aberdeen Football Club with our Head of Commercial Development. The event gave him the chance to experience professional networking in action and engage with local business leaders in a real-world setting.

Rory currently works as a Customer Service Representative while continuing his studies and is hoping to pursue Business at university.

Rory said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities it the work experience has provided. From gaining insight into the world of business to attending the Aberdeen FC Fixture Release Business Lunch, the experience has allowed me to build valuable connections, learn from industry professionals, and develop a greater understanding of the importance of networking.

“A fantastic week that has given me plenty to take forward into the future.”
