Spotlight on Selva Pradeep - Solutions Manager

Selva joined Evolve seven years ago as a Senior BI Analyst and has since progressed into his current role as Solutions Manager.

He specialises in data and analytics, with expertise in technologies such as SQL, Power BI, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.

Expertise and Technical Background

With a technical background and a Master’s in Software Technology, Selva developed a strong interest in data and programming early in his career. He began as a Systems Data Engineer, where he worked on small C# developments, data replication and integration, and built SSRS and Power BI reports to support the wider organisation.

Over the years, Selva has delivered a wide range of projects spanning data integration, reporting, automation, and system architecture. He has also developed Python-based custom applications and Power Apps solutions, helping organisations transform complex data into meaningful insights and practical outcomes.

Current Role and Responsibilities

At Evolve, Selva designs and delivers data solutions, with a particular focus on system integrations and analytics platforms. He works closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with organisational needs.

What Selva Enjoys the Most about Evolve

Selva particularly enjoys the variety of challenges at Evolve and the opportunity to solve real-world problems using data and technology. Each project offers something new, keeping the work engaging and providing ongoing opportunities to learn and grow.

He also appreciates the balance between hands-on technical work and collaborating closely with stakeholders. Taking the time to understand business needs and translating them into practical, scalable solutions is something he finds especially rewarding.

Life Outside of Work

Outside of work, Selva values spending quality time with his family and making the most of those moments together, while also staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

He also enjoys working on personal projects, particularly those that blend creativity with technology. For example, he developed a simple dinosaur-themed maths game for his children - combining learning with fun, which they really enjoyed.

In addition, Selva has an interest in content creation, especially in exploring how creativity and technology can come together in a more relaxed and engaging way. It provides a great balance and allows him to keep learning while expressing ideas in different ways.
